Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The information here, and on any third-party tool linked from this site, may not be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA. Background checks for those purposes must go through an FCRA-compliant screening provider.
Privately Operated Reference Site
This site is privately operated and is not a court, sheriff's office, law-enforcement agency, or government website. We are not endorsed by or affiliated with Dickenson County or the Commonwealth of Virginia. We do not issue, serve, recall, or maintain official warrant records. Our role is limited to describing available routes such as Virginia OCIS, local clerk offices, the magistrate, and agency contact pages.
The research identified no dedicated county warrant unit, direct warrant phone, public active-warrant roster, or separate municipal trial-court portal. A page that describes an office is not itself an official service. Use government contact details to verify the current procedure.
Accuracy of Information
Courts and agencies can change contact details, office hours, fees, calendars, and procedures. The Dickenson combined clerk is at 119 Courthouse Lane, while the Circuit Clerk and magistrate have different record responsibilities. Town halls and police offices are separate from those court counters. We cannot guarantee that every detail remains current, so confirm a location, amount, or process with the responsible office before travelling or paying.
The Tuesday court calendar is a schedule, not confirmation of an individual setting. Clintwood, Haysi, and Clinchco have different local traffic times, but all use Dickenson General District Court. A personal summons, continuance, or court order controls over a general calendar summary.
Warrant Status Changes - Verify Before You Rely
Court process can be issued, recalled, quashed, served, restricted, or transferred between court stages. A clear online result is not proof that no warrant exists: the record may not be covered by the search, may not yet have updated, may be held by another court, or may be restricted. A prior result can also become stale after a later order. Confirm the case with the issuing clerk and ask the relevant law-enforcement agency about its own service records.
Treat a search result as a starting point. Dickenson County has no verified public warrant roster; only the court or agency responsible for the record can confirm its current status.
Virginia OCIS is an adult case-information system, not a complete statewide warrant database. It may show a charge or hearing history without reproducing the signed warrant. Juvenile records and some other material have access restrictions. Ask the clerk whether a document is available and what process applies to obtain it.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing here is an official case record. For the court entry or a copy of an order, contact the clerk for the court named on the document. General District and JDR matters route through the combined clerk at (276) 926-1630; Circuit Court records go through the Circuit Clerk at (276) 926-1616 or (276) 926-1617. The magistrate's office handles its own process questions; the Sheriff's Office handles its agency records.
Use Virginia OCIS to search eligible adult case information and the Dickenson County Sheriff's website for sheriff contacts. Neither should be substituted for the other. The Sheriff's arrests archive documents arrests, not every active warrant.
Not Legal Advice
This site does not give legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship. General information cannot determine what a charge, bond, missed appearance, or warrant means in an individual case. A licensed Virginia attorney can review the actual order and advise about appearance, surrender, bond, or a request for recall. Court clerks can provide filing information but cannot select a legal strategy for a person.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party companies. We do not control what they return, what they charge, or how they use information entered into their services. Their results may be incomplete, outdated, or matched to the wrong case. A commercial result is not an official Dickenson County warrant check and remains subject to the FCRA restrictions stated above.
Read the provider's privacy notice and terms before submitting details. For court status, use the case number with the issuing clerk. For a sheriff-held record, use an official Sheriff's Office contact rather than assuming that a search partner has access to the county's current service information.
Outbound Links
Links include the Dickenson County Sheriff's Office, Virginia Courts, town government pages, statutes, and other resources. Those sites are operated independently and may revise their content or become unavailable. Check their current notices, privacy terms, and payment instructions before sharing information or acting on a result.
No Records on This Site
This site does not store warrant lists, signed warrants, case files, or official court records. It provides routing information and links to public resources. The county has no verified public active-warrant list or most-wanted roster in the sources reviewed. For a real case, check the issuing court and contact the agency responsible for its own records; do not treat an arrest archive or no-result search as clearance.
Disclaimer Questions for Dickenson County
Can you tell me if there is a warrant for me?
No. We do not host or maintain an official warrant system. Start with the Dickenson County case-search directions, then confirm the record with the clerk or agency responsible for it.
Does a clear result mean I have no warrant?
No. OCIS may not display every warrant or update immediately, and Dickenson County has no verified public roster. Ask the issuing clerk to verify the case and contact the Sheriff's Office about its own service records.
Who can clear or recall a warrant?
Only the court that issued the warrant can recall or clear it. Talk to an attorney and the issuing court.
